About Egyptian Family Planning Association
The Egyptian Family Planning Association (EFPA) is the first voluntary association in the field of Population & Family Planning in the Arab World and Africa. EFPA’s dual role is service delivery which complements government services and advocacy at policy making and implementation levels. Our advocacy work ensures continuity in family planning policies. EFPA also provides information, education and communication (IEC) for the general public. EFPA has introduced family planning services through its clinics, voluntary organisations and MOSA social centres. We plan to intensify our activities in rural areas where the prevalence rate is still low. EFPA also conducts research into innovative approaches to IEC and service delivery through field trials.
