The Steering Committee is a group of 12 members, chosen in their individual capacities as being front runners in the field of sexuality and HIV/AIDS. They are charged with the responsibility of supporting the overall planning of the Conference by providing technical direction and guidance to IPPF as host of the Conference, support advocacy initiatives for the Conference and in mobilizing resources for a successful hosting of the Conference. Specific Roles Advocacy To increase the profile of the Conference internationally and generate interest from individuals, organizations and governments from Africa, and around the world. Tasks
Fundraising/Scholarship To support IPPF as the host organization in mobilizing resources for the successful hosting of the Conference. Tasks
Post-Conference meeting There will be a post-conference meeting to: review outcomes of the 4th Conference; adopt the conference proceedings and technical report; identify the host of and set up the interim committee for the 5th Africa Conference on Sexual Health and Rights. Members of the Steering Committee will be expected to attend. |
