Dr. Azie is a leader and manager of reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, humanitarian and development programs in a variety of settings for more than 20 years. Dr. Azie is also an experienced grant-manager, evaluator, contraceptive commodity logistics expert, and researcher in a number of developing countries. He established the first successful mass media contraceptives advertising campaign in sub-Saharan Africa. He is currently a partner in an international management consulting firm based in New York City. Prior, to joining the consulting firm, Dr. Azie was United Nations Population Fund’s Director, Country Technical Services Team for Southern Africa. He also has served Planned Parenthood Federation of America as Regional Director for Africa and as Nigeria Country Director. Dr. Azie obtained his medical training at the University of Nigeria Medical School and at St Clare’s Hospital, New York. He had his post-doctoral training in public health at Harvard University, Boston and Columbia University, New York. He also has an MBA from the University of Nigeria, Business School.
