Sylvia Tamale is a feminist activist and academician based in Kampala, Uganda. She is an Associate Professor and currently the Dean of Law at Makerere University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Makerere University, a Masters in Law from Harvard Law School and a PhD in Sociology (major) and Feminist Studies (minor) from the University of Minnesota. Sylvia founded and serves as coordinator of the Gender, Law & Sexuality Research Project at the Law Faculty. Full Bio

Hajiya  Ibrahim is the Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), a position she was initially appointed to in 2005 and reappointed in 2007.
