Call for Expression of Interest for Sponsored Sessions
Limited spaces are available for sponsored sessions: breakfast and lunch meetings, side sessions, and skills building workshops. Sessions focused on any of the conference sub themes will be considered and given priority.
 
Special Announcement for Youth Delegates
Prof. Babatunde OsotimehinIf you are a youth (24 years and below) who is planning on attending the 3rd Africa Conference on Sexual Health and Rights, we are pleased to invite you to a special youth summit taking place on Sunday, February 3rd, 2008, at the conference venue, the International Conference Center Abuja. Send your name, age, nationality and area of interest to the conference coordinator at conference@actionhealthinc.org. And don't forget to register!

Note: The Conference Secretariat advises all youth delegates to stay together in Royalton Hotels Limited, in order to facilitate meetings, activities, and community building outside of conference hours.

 
 
Abstract Review Currently Underway
The conference organizers are busily preparing for the review of the 184 abstracts received. The abstracts represent 29 countries and cover topics ranging from child labour to theatrical depictions of desire and more. The conference organizing committee would like to thank everyone who submitted an abstract for their time and effort. The Conference Coordinator will contact all authors following the close of the abstract review process.
 
Draft Conference Programme Now Online
The draft programme for the 3rd Africa Conference on Sexual Health and Rights is now available.

Online Registration Now Available
Delegates can now register online to attend the 3rd Africa Conference on Sexual Health and Rights (there will be no on-site registration). To register:

1. Complete the online registration form
2. Pay your conference registration free of USD 100. All payments must be received by January 25, 2008. Instructions for payment are available here.

Note: The conference organizing committee regrets to announce that it will not be providing scholarships or financial assistance to delegates.

 
National Agency for the Control of AIDS to collaborate with AFHSR
National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), the government agency responsible for coordinating the national response to HIV/AIDS pandemic is collaborating with AFHSR to deliver the 3rd Africa Conference on Sexual Health and Rights.

Dr. Lola DareDr. Lola Dare, CEO of Center for Health Sciences Training, Research, and Development International; Mr. Tewodros Melesse, Regional Director for Africa of the International Planned Parenthood Federation; Professor Gamal Serour, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Al-Azhar University, Cairo; and Ms. Sisonke Msimang, Manager of the HIV and AIDS Programme at the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa, are Co-Chairs of the 3rd Africa Conference on Sexual Health and Rights.
